WELCOME TO OUR KENNEL...!
We are a small Hobby Kennel in Fort St John,BC. I have been an owner of Berners now for five years! My life has never been the same since I got my first Bernese "DUKE" I will always remember you! We now have two and they are "Brandy" and "Kodah"! They live with us on our farm with our children. We are very greatful to have them!
We have now started our breeding program and we stand true to only breed to better the breed.My dogs are OVC hips/elbows certified, thryoid, and Von Willebrand tested! Their eyes are tested yearly for any hereditary eye disorders! We only breed once a year and not even that, we are a small kennel.Having puppies requires a great deal of work, or responsibility and dedication. It is always hard to see the puppies go after you fall in love with each and every one of them, so it is very important to us to find the best possible homes for them to live out their lives.I concentrate alot on proper socialization for your puppy to come to your new home being a balanced pack member! I believe that positive training introduced at a young age creates alot of unwanted behaviour later on in life as long as you follow through with training and information on what I supply with your puppy!
Our dogs are first and foremost a part of our family and enjoy time with us inside our home and outside enjoying farm life romping in our hay fields and going for walks on our trails.
At eighteen months of age we do genetic screening on our dogs and encourage those who have one of our pups to do the same. It is very important to us to know the influence particular matings have produced,and that information enables us to make better breeding decisions in the future.It is our continuous goal to improve the breed.
Through our girls pregnancy they are monitored throughout their pregnancy and given prenatal vitamins and are feed the highest quality diet available.Once,retired from our breeding program they stay with us as honoured family members.I do not sell them to retire their lives some where else but with us.
Pups are whelped in our house and spend time with us on a every day basis.They get the proper care and attention from all members of the family. When the puppies are ready for the outdoors they will be moved to an outdoor run with plenty of room to run and play.The are still with all members of the family and interact with their new environment,sounds and experiences.These experiences help to insure outdoors confident, social, and well rounded individuals when they go to their new homes. All experiences are all positive.
We are committed to offering support after our puppies are placed in their new homes. We enjoy listening to any news about their lives, issues, concerns, and assist the new owner in anyway we can.We especially enjoy watching our puppies grow into beautiful adult Berners! We are always here to help!
My dogs are truely a joy to my life and to my families. They give us a smile in the morning and again when we put them to their beds at night! Without owning a Berner you will never be able to experience how much loyalty they truely have!
